Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the prevalence and incidence of hepatitis C globally and in the United States, and in New York State
  2. Identify individuals at risk for hepatitis C virus infection.
  3. List hepatitis C associated health care goals
  4. Define monitoring parameters used when measuring treatment response to therapy.
  5. Recognize the new and future medications used for the treatment of hepatitis C
  6. Describe the new and future medications used and their mechanisms of action and role in therapy.
